I believe when it comes to natural disasters people should be extra careful and pay attention to all the warnings government officials give us, even if we don't sympathize with them. I think the most important thing about Hurricane Sandy is how it has affected New York City, and how people did not expect the storm would cause devastation. Millions of people were left with no shelter, and some of them even lost a loved one. People should always be prepared for storms, and always listen to government officials, because one can never know what could possibly happen. Hurricane Sandy started in October 2012. Hurricane Sandy was the deadliest and most destructive hurricane that ever happened in New York. Millions of people's homes were destroyed. A lot of people were left without lights and gas. A lot died. There was no transportation for people to get around.
